What the extension does with data
When you click the extension, it reads the page in the active tab and requests that page, its robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap from that same website. It scores the results inside your browser and shows them in the popup. When you close the popup, the results are gone.
The extension doesn’t collect, store, sell or share personal data or browsing history. It has no account, no analytics and no remote code, and it never sends anything to AEOIndex or any other third party.
Permissions
- activeTab gives access to the current tab only, and only after you click the extension.
- scripting runs the audit in that tab.
Links to aeoindex.co
The popup has optional links to aeoindex.co. If you click “Run the free full-site audit”, the domain you were checking is sent to aeoindex.co in the link, and that audit is run and logged by our website. The links also carry a marker showing they came from the extension. Nothing is sent unless you click.
